Our services are concentrated in one sector, the remote regions. Our customers are mainly health organizations or government organizations, but we are also present in private sectors such as mines in remote regions. Here are the services we offer:
Advertising
We have developed throughout the years ways to attract the best candidates. It is important to reach a vast clientele by using targeted advertizing networks. We constantly need to adapt ourselves to various situations. Our efforts are concentrated on the activities that allow us to reach the candidates with the wanted profile for the Great North.
Having our own computer graphics artist within the company, we are able to answer all our customers’ needs, be it for the conception of a website, a logo, a pamphlet, a poster, presentation folders and other promotional items. The directors of the
Ungava Tulattavik Health Center have understood this. We take the overall of their advertising and, at a very attractive price, we have created a self-managed website. From the basic structure, the administrators themselves inserted the texts in the color and format of their choice, added pictures, videos, PDF documents….They can also change anything as often as they want, at no cost.
Recruitment
To attract nurses, we have established a strict recruitment process. We largely increase the visibility of our partners. Our main activities are school tours, conferences, job fairs, advertisement in professional magazines, in targeted websites and a lot of word of mouth.
We have developed tools to target different personality traits. Each nurse must go through a structured
recruiting process that includes a series of tests. Among these tests, an oral English test allows us to establish his(her) comprehension. Afterwards, the nurse will have his(her) individual interview which lasts about an hour. This interview is filmed and can be visualised via a secured website. If you wish, we can also offer you our premises so that you can conduct your own interview via videoconference.
Each nurse has a detailed recruitment file allowing the health organisations to define the hired person. The directors of the
Ungava Tulattavik Health Center are very satisfied of the quality of candidates, having retained 82,6% of the proposed candidates.
We are equipped to fulfil your expectations for the recruitment, in remote regions, of the nursing staff as well as of the
health professionals.
Placement
Whether it is for short-term or long-term needs, we are capable to fill your temporary needs in an effective manner. We regroup a pool of professional nursing staff having been trained to address any emergency. At all times, our company maintains its high standards to allow us to offer a constant quality of services. To do so, we assure you of the following:

We offer a total guarantee so if our client is not satisfied, we provide a replacement nurse and pay for transportation.
We also offer the placement of health professionals via the
Portail du Nord.
Training
We offer a 140 hour
Training in the expanded role. This training is intended for the nursing staff having pertinent experience and who have been carefully recruited. We only provide the training to the nurses of our customers/partners with whom we have an agreement. A nurse can’t register on his(her) own. Considering the high level of the material taught, it is essential to have the required potential to be able to follow the group. This training is very restricted in terms of places available and it is therefore better to reserve places in advance.
We have also developed a
Continuing professional development program. This 4 level program allows the nurse to continuously improve from year to year. To help the nurses to improve even more, we offer training, one day a month, on different subjects in regards to the Nordic work. Our nurses and customers/partners are invited to submit training subjects answering their current specific needs.
We also arrange for custom-built training. For example, the Atikamekw Nation Council wanted a training of a few days as per their needs. For the nurses from the Quebec mining sector, we have prepared a one-day training within the scope of the annual symposium.
Our
E-learning clips will be available shortly to all the nurses wishing to improve themselves. The different subjects are planned to answer the needs of the nurses in remote regions.
If you wish, we can transmit the continuing training courses via videoconference. This service is not available for the basic 140-hour training in the expanded role.
