Can I work on a permanent basis for Solutions Nursing and leave my current employer?
We are the only employer for many of our registered nurses and they work full time. However, before leaving your job and trying this new experience without knowing if you have the personality for the Nordic work and if the health care organizations will appreciate your services, we recommend caution. Actually, even though many are very happy in this situation, you still need to take precautions. We suggest that you first do a replacement to find out if you like your new job, especially if you have never experienced remoteness and worked with different cultures. Being a placement agency, we provide you with all the tools possible to do your job but the choice of nurses always remains at the employer’s discretion. In other words, we prepare you for this type of work, it’s up to you to make your mark. If you do your job well and the team appreciated your collaboration, they will ask for you again and you’ve got it made. However, if your attitude or your personality is incompatible, you will be put aside, without any control from our part.
If you are available for replacements, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we will find you a replacement for exactly the dates you wish. You need to have flexibility, especially at the beginning, to make your mark. It is also a good idea to have a backup plan (ex. work in a Montreal agency and accept short periods of work at a time).
